Bay: “Transfomers 3″ Will Be in 2012
Reports of a release date for “Transformers 3″ may be a bit premature. Director Michael Bay responded to the reported release date of July 1, 2011 yesterday, saying that Paramount misunderstood what he said.
Bay says he told the studio he’d be willing to direct the movie for release on July 4th weekend in 2012, not 2011.
“They asked me on the phone. I said yes to July 4—but for 2012—whoops! Not 2011!!! That would mean I would have to start prep in September. No way. My brain needs a break from fighting robots,” he wrote.
No word yet from Paramount if this would affect Bay’s directing the third installment in the franchise.
im hoping that Michael Bay is still going to do the 3rd transformers. he is doing a great job. im so looking forward to see it. keep up the good work.
The wife and I finally saw Transformers on DVD last week and we actually found it quite boring. So if they are doing a Transformers 3 I really hope they put in some semblence of a plot this time. I love popcorn movies but Transformers 2 didn’t even live up to that. Lots of robot porn and that was all.
Hope this is not very long as the other transformers 2 movie.
