“Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” Next Animated DC Film

The winning streak for Warner Premiere and DC Animated direct-to-home-theater releases looks like it will continue after “Green Lantern.” Ain’t It Cool News is reporting that following “Green Lantern,” the next release will be the popular “Superman/Batman: Public Enemies” storyline.

From the company press release: “United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime” Batman. Super heroes and super villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit super help – to stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.”

Long time DC Universe animator Bruce Timm is serving as executive producer for the animated feature. “Public Enemies” is currently in production and is scheduled for release in the fall of this year.
