Summit Names “Eclipse” Director

Summit Entertainment named Juan Antonio Bayona to direct the third installment in the “Twilight” saga, “Eclipse.”

Bayona is Spanish and is a protege of Guillermo Del Toro, according to Variety.

“Eclipse” is the third in Stephenie Meyer’s series about Bella, Edward and the Cullen clan of vampires.  Filming is expected to begin later this year with a release date of June 30, 2010.
