While there’s no confirmation yet on who will direct or star in the fourth installment in the Spider-Man franchise, we can tell you when you can expect to see the web-slinger on the big-screen again. Sony Pictures announced yesterday that everyone’s favorite wall-crawler will be back on the big-screen on May 6, 2011.
It has been rumored that the fourth and fifth installments of the Spider-Man franchise would be filmed together. No word yet on if this is happening.
The opening of Spidey did cause a ripple effect for other Marvel movies for that summer. The release dates for Thor and Captain America were pushed back and the Avengers film will be delayed until the summer of 2012.
