Despite having a solid opening day, the Jonas Brothers weren’t able to capture the top slot at the box-office this weekend. That slot went to “Madea Goes to Jail” for the second straight weekend.
“The Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience” was predicted by many to follow in the footsteps of last year’s “Hannah Montana” concert film and deliver a strong opening weekend. However, the Hannah Montana concert was billed as a limited release during its initial release whereas the Jonas Brothers was listed as a regular run movie. That may have cost some viewers who saw it as less of an event film.
Coming in third was last week’s big Oscar winner, “Slumdog Millionaire.”
