ABC Family Makes “The Middleman” Cancellation Official

February 20, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: TV News

It’s official.  ABC Family has given the pink slip to “The Middleman.”

The cable outlet officially cancelled the series this week according to the New York Post.

Fans of this quirky, fun and imaginative series were hoping to get a chance to show their support for the show and a second season with sales of the DVD.   But it appears that fans who buy the first season on DVD will be getting the complete series, unless another network steps in and renews the show.

Doesn’t surprise me after the cancellation of “Kyle XY”. After all, if there isn’t enough teen sex, ABC Family doesn’t want it.

It’s kind of funny that the only program ABC Family can not cancel is the 700 Club.

I loved that show - every episode was funny, packed with geeky pop culture references and it never took itself seriously.

Well at least we have the Stretch Armstrong movie to look forward to.
