Bus Damage Alters "Who" Episode

Over the weekend, reports surfaced that the first of this year’s “Doctor Who” specials might be canceled.

The potential cancellation was over a damaged double-decker bus that was to be used in filming in Dubai according to the BBC. The second deck of the bus was damaged as it arrived in Dubai for filming to continue on the upcoming “Planet of the Dead.”

The potential monkey-wrench in the works came because a similar prop had been used in Cardiff for filming there. It was speculated that the damage to the prop was so severe that there was no way to film on it and that the special might have to be scrapped.

Thankfully, cooler heads prevailed and a work around has been reached. Writers Russell T. Davies and Gareth Roberts were able to alter the script to allow filming to continue and it looks good that everything will continue on schedule for the episode’s debut at Easter.

Isn't the bus a major part of the episode? How exactly is the script going to be altered? And why can't they just get another bus?

    In answer to Kyle Nin:
Yes, the bus is a major part of the episode and apparently, they're going to use the damage in the new script, pretending the double-decker was attacked by whatever aliens will be chasing the Doctor and/or his "Easter" companion.
And finally, they couldn't get another bus because it would have been way too expensive to ship another one to Dubaï.

IIRC, in Doc Who lore, there is another timelord that has a Tardis in the shape of a London bus...
