Just a few episodes into its third season, “Kyle XY” has received a pink-slip from ABC Family.
TV Guide On-Line reports the show got its walking papers over the weekend while several other series including “Secret Life of the American Teenager” got renewal notices.
There is no word yet on if “Kyle” will have enough time to craft a series-finale to wrap-up its on-going storylines or not. Or any early indication on if the show might jump to another network.

Kyle xy is a family show it contains a lot of different aspects of a teenagers life along with pureity. I cannot beleieve the show has been let go. My children range in age from 7 thru 17 and a 13 yr old daughter we watch it faithfully and have enjoyed it as a family. The way you left the final episode is appauling and we feel used by your network. Please do not end it on such a questionable note. Bring it back and if you feel the need tro cancel at least dont end it this way. We need closure. I will never tune in to abc family again if you can not at least give us the answers we so desperately seak. And kyle is "hot" without the violence and sex. this is the type of respect and love i want my kids to see not teanage pregnancy. maybe if they didnt see so much sex and adult issues our children would have morals and values.
I think they should have kept the show on!

i don't know why abc family did this to kyle xy, but i think i will block that channel from now on. kyle xy was the ONLY great series on that channel, now that they canceled it, they just killed themselves in my mind, permanently.

You must be kidding! Leave the program at this point, so you can exploit "secret teen sex life!!" Because my wife and I are over 70 and our daughter over 45, you think we don't count. We stuck with it despite the diversion into teen voyuerism and away from SciFi, and now you pull the plug. Shameful. We can only hope another network picks it up. At least, tell me where I can get the following scripts to the true "The End." Or will I have to write my own? WE LOVE "JESSI" (and the actress) so, in my script she and Kyle end up together, but I suppose you will have them brother and sister. Amanda was cute, but became pitiful.

I' am truly disconcerted to find that the show that I have come to love, Kyle XY, has been canceled after what I can only can a great episode. The episode in and of itself is great, but it was not meant to be a series finale. This show help to have a greater awareness and appreciation of ABC Family, but now that it is no longer airing I have to say I no longer have any interest in watching your channel. Your other show just do not measure up to Kyle XY. Kyle XY was of a completely different caliber and I suggest that you continue to pursue shows of this nature. As a fan and a viewer, I would like to ask that the show be either renewed of completed in a respectful manner in regards to the fans.
I will be posting this in as many open avenues as possible in hope that ABC Family responds.

ABCFamily absolutely sucks! You takea show off that is smart and funny and has good ratings for a bunch of crap shows. MY family and friends will not be watching your GREAT Network any longer. Sayonara!
With so many fans, I am truly suprised that ABC Family made the call to abruptly end the show. So many individuals watched the program simply for its relative morality, suspense and focus on mystery rather than teenage drama. I sincerely hope that Kyle XY is aired on another network.
I'm from the uk where they've started to air season one
its really depressing that there won't be a season four, as I'm already really into it. I dont live in the USA so i cant send letters but maybe abc wold think twice if they knew their show was airing across the pond.
Kyle xy is a great show that deserves better.

ABC Family... Have you really lost your minds? The world is changing and tired of all the sex crap on tv. Yes, even the teenagers are! I have four teens and they have stopped watching anything except disney and hallmark channels now that you have taken off Kyle XY, and the crappy way you did it! How can you call yourselves a Family channel? Your teenage shows aren't helping them, it makes things worse. Its not okay to have sex and drink. Please give Kyle XY to some one else or correct your mistake and at least finish the show!! Do you really what to loose all these ratings? You did the same ting with Pretender!! All the good family shows you cancel. You didn't finish that either!! You might as well change your name, because u no longer are any way concidered a family channel!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have watched Kyle XY since the very beginning and just now found out the show was cancelled. ABC must have lost their mind thinking that grownups have no say in who is going to watch ABC when it come to children or teenagers. i for one will not have ABC on again for any program since i see where their loyalty begins and ends. You want just the teenagers then i hope u are happy since u have obviously lost a very large audience with the cancelling of Kyle xy.
Frustrating that this show is cancelled :< - I loved everything about it - the sci fi/family/drama - I love watching Kyle grow then Jessi develop as a character...then suddenly it stopped.

Ha! I'm a female teen viewer and hate The Secret Life of the American Teenager! It sucks and it frankly doesn't have much excitement or amusement. The characters are so one-sided and switch from one love interest too much. I liked Kyle XY and can't believe ABC FAM will do that. Make it or Break It is great but not Secret Life. They should have cancelled that instead of Kyle. Most teen girls swoon over this show and its mystery. It was a masterpiece. I think Syfy should pick it up since Kylew Xy is science fiction based. I would watch it and I have seen many people who love it and support it too. I bet they would love it! Syfy would have tons of viewers tuning in.
I agree with you completly. ABC Family's shows are just stupid. nobody i know even watches that channel. Kyle XY was the only good show they ever had. Whats the point of calling it ABC FAMILY if they dont have shows that are acceptable to watch with FAMILY.
I have never been more sad to not see more of a show. Yeah it had some teen drama and stuff but it was a personal show because of it. It was intruiging and brought forth good principles. ABC family would get so many watchers if they had one more seasons or made a full length movie to wrap it up. When we were kids we didnt fantasize about stupid girls getting in fights and having sex in highschool. We fantasized about supernatural things. Like kyle xy. Bring it back man.
I only recently started watching Kyle XY and when i found it i crunched all 43 episodes into 3 days every time i saw an episode it just drew me into the next one so abcfamily with all do respect if you think the secret life of an american teenager is a good t.v. show then you have to be crazy oh if you are sure about cancelling it at least give it to another network and let them revive the show
I believe ABC Family should sell the copyrights of Kyle XY to another channel because im sure there are a lot of channels that would be more than happy to pick up Kyle XY and keep it going. Or they could keep it going themselves. I know for a fact that if Kyle XY was brought back their ratings would go through the roof because Kyle XY has picked up a lot of fans since they cancelled it. I for one am one of them and I do not believe the way the show concluded was appropriate. If thats not possible they could at least do a final tv movie showing what happens after.
