After five seasons of "Stargate Atlantis," the series celebrated its 100th episode and said goodbye. Did the series finale give a fitting end to this fan favorite as it leaves television and sets out for movies?

I think all blame for the abrupt ending should be placed on SciFi Channel, not the shows writers/producers. Weren’t they almost finished producing the season when they were told that t it would be the last season? That last episode seemed to be headed toward a “classic” Stargate season ending cliffhanger. But then they learned of the cancellation and had to change the ending at the last minute.

I thought Enemy at the Gate was entertaining and enjoyed it for the most part. It felt very rushed, however, and would have been MUCH better as a two-parter.
(To me, Vegas was far and a way a superior episode)
But, I was extremely disappointed that, at the very end, the entire series came down to Rodney saying that the only thing that mattered was Keller, and essentially discounting all the friendships and team bonding that had been going on for 5 years. I was
But I look forward to the movie, if it happens, and hope they leave that particular storyline in the wastebasket.

I think it was a great episode, And I think it will make a great setup for the movie (even though I personally wouldn’t have minded another season..)

I was disappointed but it won’t prevent me from purchasing future Atlantis movies.

The Series finale was very good, and was a good finale but it did not feel like a series finale. SGA needed one more epic season, like Season 4 to send it off. Season 5 was a setup season for new arcs like The Asgard and the retro virus. I blame Brad Wrong for pulling this great show and wanting to go ahead with SGU.

I need the ‘I quit watching months ago because I was so mad they cancelled it and no, I have no plans to buy anything related to the series, at best, I will use netflix.’

I last show was one of the weakest of the past year. I might watch the new movies, but I do not think that I would pay money for them.

I am a great fan. Very sorry the show ended. Thought it had at least 2 of 3 seasons left in it, but I guess not. Hope the movies come soon.

I’m just glad it ended already. They never should’ve gotten past the 1st-2nd season…

I’m not sure if I’d go quite as far as “perfect”, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I agree that it was a bit rushed. On the other hand, I don’t think there was enough story to make two hours, and I’d rather have jam-packed than slow-and-padded.

Can’t wait to see what Mallozzi and Mullie come up with for the first movie. :)
