“Green Hornet” Canceled?

January 26, 2009 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Film News

With the departure of Stephen Chow from the upcoming “Green Hornet” movie, Hitfix is reporting that Sony has pulled the plug on the film.

According to reports, Sony has pulled the plug on the opening date of July 25, 2010 and said that it is “highly unlikely” filming will begin on the project this year.

Seth Rogen, who penned the script with writing partner Evan Goldberg, was to star as newspaper publisher Britt Reid, who fights crime in the guise of superhero the Green Hornet. Rogen even lost quite a bit of weight to get in shape for the role. Chow had been attached to star as his sidekick Kato.

As soon as we know any futher details, we’ll report them here at Slice of SciFi.
