Send a Holiday Message to an Astronaut

December 15, 2008 by Michael Hickerson   || Category: Space News

No, the post office hasn’t started runs to outer space just yet.  But you can send one of the crew of the International Space Station a holiday-themed greeting via a NASA website.

Your message (and a cheesy postcard) will be zapped up to astronauts Mike Fincke, Sandra Magnus and Yury Lonchakov.

The crew is preparing for a Dec. 22 spacewalk to will install an experimental module on the outside of the station.  The European Space Agency project will expose seeds and spores to the harsh environment of space for more than a year to see what happens to them.
