The battle over the running time of “Watchmen” continues.Â
SciFi Wire reports director Zach Snyder has turned in a new edit of the film to Warner Brothers. The new version sees ten minutes of edits made to the film, bringing the run time to two hours and thirty-five minutes. Warner Brothers hasn’t signed off yet on the newly edited version of the highly-anticipated film.
The running time of the film has been a source of several conversations between Snyder and Warner Brothers. This summer, Snyder touted that the film had come in at two hours and forty-five minutes, leading some fans to start a petition for allow Snyder as much time as needed to bring “Watchmen” to the big-screen.Â
Snyder has already stated that a director’s cut of the film will be released to DVD. This cut is said to run three hours and ten minutes. In addition, another edit of the film, incorporating the animated “Tales of the Black Freighter” will also be released on DVD.Â
