“This is a perfect vehicle for Swayze who has always been best in roles in which he has had to dig deep within himself to bring out the dark side of every human being’s personality”

Patrick Swayze (”Ghost,” “Dirty Dancing” “Red Dawn”) is at his all-time best in A&E’s newest series of original programming in “The Beast,” which debuts on the cable network beginning January 15, 2009.

Swayze stars as unorthodox, yet, get it done, FBI veteran agent Charles Barker, who has been given the job of breaking in his younger new partner Ellis Dove, played by actor Travis Fimmel (”Tarzan”). What Barker isn’t yet aware of is that Dove is really a double-agent asigned to him in order to investigate his cases, tactics and connections.

This is a perfect vehicle for Swayze who has always been best in roles in which he has had to dig deep within himself to bring out the dark side of every human being’s personality. “The Beast” is a fictional hard-hitting, cutting-edge psychological thriller that probes the inner workings of the life and mind of one of the FBI’s most successful agents who has spent a lifetime in the agency walking that razor-sharp thin line between good and evil.

Look for “The Beast” — you don’t want to miss the debut of this great and exciting new show. I will guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Catch a video preview HERE.

In other great Swayze news: Patrick is responding very well to treatment in his battle against pancreatic cancer.
