Star gazers tonight are in for a treat–if you look to the southwestern sky, you will be able to see two planetary bodies. Skywatchers in most of the Americas will be able to see a rare pairing of Jupiter and Venus according to Sky and Telescope.
The two planets will be separated in the night sky by width of your finger. Also in the night sky, viewers will be able to see the moon in close proximinity to the two planets.
And while the moon, Jupiter and Venus may appear close together in our night’s sky, they are separated by millions of miles.  Venus and Jupiter won’t appear this close together in the night sky again until 2013.
