“Halo 3: Recon” Not a Sequel
Still riding high as one of the most successful video games in gaming history is Microsoft’s “Halo.” Its newest offering, “Halo 3: Recon” will have some new elements and some missing ones as well. One of the biggest revelations is the fact that “Recon” isn’t a sequel.
At this weeks Tokyo Game Show, Microsoft unveiled “Halo 3: Recon” to the crowd assembled for the event. The game has been developed for the software giant by Bungie Studios, the same crew behind the original “Halo.” The developers have expanded the game, added new characters to the mix and eliminated some others, the most notable absentee will be Master Chief.
“Halo 3: Recon” will be released sometime in 2009.
Microsoft is also busy with another developer called Ensemble Studios with “Halo Wars” also for a possible 2009 release. One of the software company’s future, as-yet-untitled gaming projects will include entries from famed movie director/producer Peter Jackson.
