September 27, 2008 By News Droid Leave a Comment

Beginning Saturday, September 27, 2008 and running through midnight Pacific time December 13, 2008, Slice of SciFi, in conjunction with W.I.S.E. Retail Solutions, Inc., is offering this exclusive contest in which one winner each day will be chosen to receive this unique “Moon Dust Pen Commemorative.”

These attractive, high quality writing instruments, commemorate the historic 1969 Apollo 11 moon landing as well as NASA’s 50 Year Anniversary, while showcasing JSC-1A Lunar Regolith Simulant or “Moon Dust”.

Developed on earth to support NASA’s future exploration of the lunar surface, moon dust replicates the exact mineral composition, mineralogy, particle size and properties of lunar mare soil.

The pens feature a miniature hand crafted and painted figure of an Apollo 11 Astronaut against a field of space and the American Flag. An official insignia is stamped onto the top of the pen.

Moon Dust Pens are the perfect gift for the space buff, astronomer, patriot, student, or anyone who appreciates a one-of-a-kind conversation piece.
