FarPoint Media Member’s DNA Sent to Space for the Future

September 24, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Science News

Operation Immortality – Richard Garriott’s project to take a ‘backup of humanity’ into space – just announced that Stephen Hawking and his daughter Lucy will both be sending their DNA into space.

They join a list of other celebrities who are participating with the project including Stephen Colbert, Joe Ely, Olympic Gold Medalist Scott Johnson, American Gladiator Matt Morgan … oh, and our very own Tracy Hickman (writer, producer)…in sending their DNA for permanent storage on the International Space Station. Excerpts of Tracy’s writings will also be included on the storage device.

That or the cosmic radiation will enable them to resist the aliens that made a clone army of them, and they will conquer the universe. It’s sheer elegance in its simplisity.
