“Lighthouse” — An island of refuge… a beacon of hope… a tower of fear!

“Lighthouse” is a new film from screenwriter A.W. Knuudsen and is based on the Edgar Allan Poe short story.

Story centers on a the unfinished work of the dying Edgar Allan Poe. The troubled genius of letters, had only penned about 250 cryptic words to the story when he passed away in 1849. Nearly 135 years later, writer Richard Selzer set out to finish Poe’s work and turned it into a rivating impassioned tale of a tortured life in noblity.

The setting is 1796 in which a young man of noble birth intentionally exiles himself to the abandoned Otterholm light-house to escape the torture and torment of his Tourette’s afflicted existence, only to discover that his demons have traveled with him.

The film, in its early stages of production, stars Kevin Zegers (”Titans”) as the tortured John Jacob Moran and Saul Rubinek (”War”) portrays DeGrat.
