Superheroes in Asia
At this years Pusan Festival in South Korea the main theme will set around eleven superheroes in a tribute called “Superheroes in Asia.” The event takes place beginning October 2nd, according to Variety Asia.
Some of the other themes to be highlighted at the festival are anime with its “Ani Asia! A Leap of Asian Feature Animation 3,” a spot for the fast rising Romanian film industry titled “Romanian New Wave,” and 8 Italian films from the Taviani Brothers will also get a special screening.
One of Korea’s most prolific directors, Han Hyung-mo will get upfront attention with 6 films honoring him.
There will be lots of other themes during the 9-day film festival ranging from music videos to a tribute for the late Kim Ki-young (”The Housemaid”), who died in 1998.
