Freeman Update — Released From Hospital

August 8, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: News

Oscar winner Morgan Freeman has been released from the Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN on Thursday. As he said left he told reporters that he felt “real good.” Freeman was in a severe car crash on Sunday that put him and a passenger in the hospital where he was listed in serious condition and had to undergo surgery to repair nerve damage to his left arm, elbow and shoulder. He also suffered a fractured arm.

“I left the hospital today, just after 12 noon, Memphis time,” the co-star of the blockbuster Batman movie “The Dark Knight” said in a brief statement. “I’m doing very well. I feel real good.” Climbing into the car that was prepared to take him back to his home in Mississippi, Freeman thanked the EMT and hospital staff, and all his fans and all those who prayed for him. “It’s great to know people care about you, Freeman added.”

Freeman is expected to make a full recovery after a physical therapy.
