From executive producer Yumiko Aoyagi (”LonelyGirl15″) comes a new $5.2 million online horror adventure called “Scary City,” according to Asia Variety. This will be one of the more expensively produced internet sagas.

The plot of this new webseries, which will include five episodes at 1½ to three minutes in length, will vary slightly depending on which country it is being viewed in. For instance, in Japan the series opens with a murder mystery being solved by a Tokyo high school student, while the U.S. version is centered on the haunting of a Los Angeles apartment complex and the architect of the building missing 10-year old daughter and his battle with ghostly evil. There are also versions planned for Israel, Thailand, France, South Korea and the United Kingdom, each with their own particular plot.
