Fans who want more “Battlestar Galactica” will get their wish when the series returns to conclude its fourth season in January. TV Guide On-Line’s Erin Fox reports that SciFi will air “extra long” episodes as the series concludes its run.
Speaking to a crowd of “Battlestar” faithful at ComicCon, executive producer David Eick said because these final episodes are “critical” to the series, there just wasn’t time to tell the story they needed and wanted to tell in a one-hour timeslot.
There’s no word yet on the specifics of how SciFi and “Battlestar” will extend the final episodes of the series. SciFi could follow the pattern of its network parent, NBC and show episodes that have an unusual running time, similiar to what has been tried with the popular Thursday night comedy line-up in the past, or they could extend some or all of the final episodes to run two hours each.
As soon as we have more details on the extended episodes, we’ll bring you the news here on Slice of SciFi.

BS! This is the Sci-Fi channel, the episodes will only be an hour, they’ll just run twice as many commercials and stretch it out over two hours. Seriously.
