“Antichrist”

July 29, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film News

The new horror film from Danish director Lars von Trier (”Dogville”) is titled “Antichrist” and will be an English-speaking horror movie.

“Antichrist” follows the lives of a couple lamenting the recent death of their son. To try and find solace they get away from the busy hustle-bustle of city life and move to a remote cabin in the woods only to come up against dangerous and dark spiritual forces.

Filming will soon get underway in Germany and will run on a budget of about $11 million. It will be produced by Zentropa, the production company owned by Trier, Film i Vast (Sweden), Luckey Red (Italy) and from France — Arte France, Slot Machine and Liberator Productions, making “Antichrist” a truly European Union venture.
