Meet Dave

July 3, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film

Dave Ming Chang (Eddie Murphy), newly arrived in New York City, may be the ultimate fish out of water. There’s something about him that’s not quite right - for starters, he seems remarkably out of place and uncomfortable in his own body. And for good reason: “Dave” is not a man at all, but a ship made in the image of its miniature-sized captain. It’s little Eddie in the BIG family comedy “MEET DAVE.”

“MEET DAVE” opens nationwide on Friday, July 11.

Netflix, Inc.

Slicers, feel free to never mention another Eddie Murphy movie again.

    Sincerely,

    OMG… I mean… WOW…
We covered this story in the news segment, but… WOW…
Yeah, Eddie is officially banned from this show.
    My brain hurts.

Say what you will about Eddie…he never fails to bring in the cash and as long as that continues, so will his movies, and sadly, we’ll have to keep covering him if it’s genre-related. Sorry to disappoint, but we are in the news business - good or bad news — it’s still news.

yeah, I realize that you’re journalistic integrity practically forces you to report on Eddie Murphy stuff, and I respect that very much, but from now on I’m going to look at reports like these as a warning: LOOK OUT EDDIE MURPHY IS AT IT AGAIN!!

Exactly Bill. You see we here at SoSF offer a dual service — we serve up the news (good or bad) and give adequate warning of Eddie “DOING IT AGAIN!” ;)

    Hi,
I am new to this site, but went to see Meet Dave at the Cinema last night. I can safely say that it is the WORST film i have ever had the displeasure of having to sit through in my life. Considering my best friend made me watch her birthing video, twice, that seriously is saying something.
Someone please put Eddie Murphy out of his misery.
    Thanks
    H
