Bada Bing On Mars

July 3, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV News

Former “The Sopranos” actor/director Michael Imperioli will be a regular cast member for the new ABC SF drama “Life on Mars,” based on the popular Brit drama of the same name.

Imperioli will play Det. Ray Carling, tough-guy cop and politically-incorrect colleague to main character Sam Tyler, portrayed by Jason O’Mara.

Story centers around a 21st Century detective named Sam who finds himself mysteriously sent back in time to the early 1970s after a serious car crash. Is he really back in the 70’s or is this all a comatose dream-state. What makes the plot interesting is he finds himself hot on the trail of the same serial killer he was hunting down 30 years in the future.

Is the US network capable of ending the Life On Mars where the Poms did? That is, after 2 seasons and a resolution?
