Carter Unveils New Project

June 25, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film

Chris Carter, the creator of “The X-Files,” and the man behind the upcoming Philes movie “X-Files: I Want To Believe,” has announced a new genre-related film that he has been able to keep secret for sometime now, thanks in part to all the press surrounding the X-Files sequel coming out on July 25, 2008.

Now that “X-Files” has wrapped, Carter is supposedly directing “Fencewalker,” a dark drama starring Natalie Dormer (”The Tudors”) , Katie Cassidy (”Supernatural”) and Xzibit (”X-Files: I Want To Believe”).

“Fencewalker” is said to be a coming-of-age semiautobiographical character piece with no supernatural elements, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Carter wrote the script and is keeping it surrounded by a veil of secrecy similar to what J.J. Abrams and Matt Reeves did with their successful film “Cloverfield.”

Will there ever be a movie for “Millennium”? I know it wasn’t as popular a series as “The X-Files”, but I’d be willing to see a movie for it if one was ever made.
