Award winning director Spike Lee, using his own money and resources has acquire the rights to film “Time Traveler,” based on the prize winning book “Time Traveler: A Scientist’s Personal Mission to Make Time Travel a Reality,” the memoirs of renowned theoretical physicist Ronald Mallett.
This one isn’t sci-fi, but is sci-fact. The film will chronicle Mallett, one of America’s first African-Americans to earn a Ph.D in theoretical physics, as he draws up the technical specs for a workable time machine.
Mallett co-wrote his best selling book with writer Bruce Henderson. He admits to being completely obssessed with the whole concept of time travel since age 10, after his father’s death. As a boy his desire was to be able to go back in time to save his dad, however, as an adult he began to believe that time travel was more than a fantasy told in science fiction tales, but based on quantum physics, might actually one day become a reality.
Lee will begin work on the film as soon as possible.

Here we have Spike Lee calling Clint Eastwood a racist for not having any African-American actors in his two WWII movies yet it seems all of Spike Lee’s movie are exclusively about African-American’s. There’s the pot calling the kettle black.

Um, did you ever see Summer of Sam?

Or Inside Man? I have little faith in Lee, as I’ve not enjoyed many of his movies, but Inside Man showed me that he can tell a story.
