Rogen, Goldberg & Baruchel Take On the Last Days

June 11, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film News

The comedy trio of Seth Rogen (”Knocked Up”), Jay Baruchel and Evan Goldberg (”Superbad”) will tackle a tricky subject for their next satiric film-fest — the apocalyse.

They join up with Mandate Pictures to bring “Jay and Seth vs. the Apocalypse” scheduled for release in late 2009 or early 2010. Shooting begins in 2009.

As you might guess Rogen and Baruchel will take on their toughest foe to date — the End of Days. Not much else is know about the plot yet. The script is being written by Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg, the same two who wrote “Superbad.” The idea was originally hatched during the shooting of “Superbad” by Goldberg and fellow scribe/director Jason Stone. Rogen and Goldberg will also act as producers of the film.

Rogen and Goldberg are being kept busy these days pumping out scripts. Besides this latest last days comedy they are also writing Sony’s “Pineapple Express” and “The Green Hornet,” again for Sony.
