Are Jericho fans the new Browncoats?
Certainly the two fanbases share the same passion for their shows and the dogged persistance to make sure their favorite series won’t be relegated to a passing answer in a future edition of Trivial Pursuit.
Twice-cancelled by CBS, Jericho‘s fans aren’t giving up on the hope of seeing their show return on another network. Right now, the big target is cable’s SciFi Channel, who recently picked up syndicated repeats of the first two seasons.
But Jericho fans don’t want to just see the same set of episodes replayed over and over again. Instead, they’re aggressively pursuing a third season. The most recent push is a billboard located in Studio City, California, about a mile from the NBC/Universal lot. Coincidentally, NBC/Universal owns the SciFi Channel.
The billboard shows a “for sale” sign and states that millions of loyal fans are looking to follow the series to its new home. The billboard contains a link to the campaign’s web-site at www.jericho4sale.com and includes a phone number to contact the CBS/Paramount studios, the producers of Jericho.
One fan even took video of the billboard being erected and posted the footage to the YouTube.
The group raised the money from fans and also took out an ad in the May 25th edition of Digital Variety.
To borrow from a popular movie, the Jericho fans have built it. Now the question becomes, will a network come?
Former Jericho cast member Sprague Grayden has landed a recurring role on the upcoming season of 24 reports our partner, TV Guide On-Line.
Grayden will play the daughter of the president in the upcoming season, which debuts next winter on FOX.
Grayden is also set to appear on the upcoming FX series Sons of Anarchy. she will play a woman who puts pressure on her ex-con hubby to stay away from a motorcycle club.

Thanks for this article. Jericho fans are the best! I wish Sprague the best of luck in her new projects. She’s a great actress and will do well in whatever she decides to pursue. Season 3 will happen, and I’m hoping it will be on the SciFi channel for sure!

Jericho fans are the kind of fans any network SHOULD be proud to have. There are at least six million of us, so you would think that would be a boon to whoever picks up Jericho. Thanks for spreading the word about all of our efforts. We appreciate it.

Jericho fans are persistent and passionate. We have heard that talks are continuing and as long as there is talk there is hope. This fight is for quality; for all fans everywhere to have a voice! If you have ever had a favorite show cancelled (and how could you not?), please join us and let the networks know you will NOT take it anymore. Each fan has a voice and it should be counted.
Moonlighters have joined the Rangers; United we Stand. Who will join us?

The fight to save Jericho is not over!
If you want more Jericho please write to: Ms. Nancy Tellem, President, CBS Paramount Network Television Entertainment Group, 4024 Radford Avenue, Studio City, CA 91604-2190.
Ask her to continue to produce Jericho and sell it to another network. These letters need to go out now, if we wish to save Jericho.

Thank you for your kind remarks. Although I barely fit into the 18-49 demographic CBS was looking for, I found “Jericho” to be a very engaging, family-oriented, and amazingly thought-provoking series that died before its time. I continue to be surprised by the ingenuity of the “Jericho” fanbase to get the message out that they (and I) are waiting for a Season 3. The networks and the advertisers who support them should be so creative. 🙂
Kudos to Ms.Grayden for not ‘sitting on her laurels’ or any other “Jericho” actor who has moved on to other projects in the interim. It merely proves they have chops and do not have to fall back on teaching acting or waiting tables to pay the rent and other necessities of life.
Long live Jericho!
