Showgirls In Darko-land

“Saved By the Bell” alum Elizabeth Berkley who made her big screen debut showing all in the overly-hyped flop of the 20th Century in “Showgirls” is joining the cast for the sequel to “Donnie Darko.”
Titled “S. Darko,” this next film continues the bizzare tale in the Darko family tree and picks up seven years after the first film when little sister Samantha Darko and her best friend Corey, who are now 18, go on a roadtrip to Los Angeles only to be plagued by bizarre visions.
Daveigh Chase reprises her role as Donnies little sis Samantha, now all grown up. She was 11 years old in 2001 when the first film premiered. It starred Jake Gyllenhaal in the title role, turning him into a major Hollywood talent.
Berkley will play the role of a druggie-turned-Jesus freak. She seems to have only two goals in life — ridding the world of sin and bedding her pastor.
“Donnie Darko” writer and director Richard Kelly isn’t attached to this one. The movie will be directed by Chris Fisher (”Moonlight,” “Chuck”).

I was really excited until I read the above line
I love Donnie Darko and have zero interest in seeing this.
