Mythic Signs “Ironclad” Deal
The new and growing production company Mythic Intl. Entertainment has unveiled its first project, a medieval live-action flick titled “Ironclad” to be directed by Jonathan English, according to the trade paper Variety, European edition.
$30 million has been set aside for the project which will take place in 13th century England, and tells the story of a small band of knights who defended Rochester Castle against the tyrant King John.
Cast includes such award winning notables as the great Sir Richard Attenborough, Pete Postlethwaite (”Æon Flux”) , Angus Macfadyen (”Braveheart”) and “Star Trek’s” Colm Meaney, with James Purefoy (”Rome,” “The Saint”) and Oscar nominee Paul Giamatti currently negotiating with Mythic to play the leading knight and King John respectively.
