Emma Bull, Will Shetterly, Elizabeth Bear and Sarah Monette are writing episodes for a TV series called “Shadow Unit” that Emma created and ran with…online! Episode are being writen and posted on the official “Shadow Unit” website. The series is entirely reader-funded. Emma Bull is even encouraging fan-fiction from…..fans!
So, what exactly is “Shadow Unit”? Well, to put it in Emma’s own words:
It’s a series “no one had ever seen. It would share DNA with ‘Criminal Minds,’ with ‘The X-Files’ and ‘Millennium,’ with ‘Man from U.N.C.L.E.’ and the old paramedic show ‘Emergency,’ with ‘The Avengers’ and a British paranormal series I barely remember called ‘The Champions’ and a short-lived U.S. series called ‘The Sixth Sense’.”
