“Clock Tower” Adapted for the Big Screen
Be looking for a big screen adaptation of the Capcom bestselling vidgame series “Clock Tower” some time late this year or early next year.
The Weinsten Co. and Senator Entertainment will produce and distribute the horror-based survival film under the direction of “The Hills Have Eyes 2″ helmer Martin Weisz from a script by “Borderland” scribe Eric Poppen.
What made the game, and we’re assuming the movie, unique is the protagonist will have to hunt, facedown and kill monsters without the use of conventional video game weaponary, but must rely entirely on her wits, cunning and skill.
Everything about the actual game will be incorporated into the live-action flick. Poppen is adapting his script along the plotlines of the second game in the franchise, “Clock Tower 2: The Struggle Within.” This particular storyline has the lead trapped in a psychiatric ward of a mental hospital trying to escape a curse that has haunted her family for several generations.

I loved these games. Freaky scary like Resident Evil. Plus they played like a horror movie, so there is that.
