stillerben.jpgDreamWorks has bought up the unpublished graphic novel “The Return of King Doug” for Ben Stiller to produce as a potential starring vehicle, according to Variety.

The live-action story centers on a man who must return to the fantasy world which he abandoned 30 years earlier. Greg Orb and Jason Oremland, who wrote the graphic novel, will write the screenplay.

“The Return of King Doug” will get published in 2009. The movie is expected soon after the comic hits bookshelves.

Stiller can next be seen in the action/comedy “Tropic Thunder” which some critics are calling the best thing Ben has done since his innovative original television outing “The Ben Stiller Show.”
