Stan Lee & Disney Name Projects
Last year we told you on Show #113 that the great Stan Lee would be teaming up with Walt Disney Pictures for some future projects together, Well, now we can at least give you the names of the new films Stan and the Disney people will collaborate on, even if you can’t yet tell you exactly what each will be about.
All three will be executive produced by Lee and business partner Gill Champion from their POW! Entertainment company with Disney set to distribute.
Project #1:
“Nick Ratchet.” This will be written and directed by Richard LaGravenese. Larry Jacobson and Sonny Grosso are in talks to act as producers.
Project #2:
“Blaze.” to be written by Gary Goldman.
Project #3:
“Tigress,” which will be written by Zoe Green. Robert Teitel and George Tillman of State Street Pictures producers.

My thoughts went thusly:
“Nick Ratchet” Okay, could be a cool superhero movie. alright, I’ll buy it.
“Blaze” Okay, well, this doesn’t sound as promising, but “Nick Ratchet” is a good title.
“Tigress” Damn, we have now moved into SciFi Channel original movies territory with this title. It’s right up there with “Croc”. Ugh. This only goes to prove to me further that Stan Lee is riding on his own coat-tails, and has been out of good ideas for decades.
We know virtually NOTHING about these projects other than working titles, subject to change. We should probably… you know… wait for DETAILS before passing judgment.

Nick Ratchet is being directed & written by the guy who wrote and directed my all-time favorite movie (Living Out Loud), so I’m looking forward to it.
