NBC Breaking the Rut

March 26, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: The Biz In Show Business

nbc-peacock-logo.jpgNBC chair Ben Silverman is getting a jump start on other networks by putting aside the traditional upfront advertiser’s extravaganza for a little change of action that will bring him more personal face time with perspective advertisers.

Next week the Peacock Network will present its 2008-09 schedule during a news conference, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This comes a full six weeks ahead of CBS, ABC, Fox and CW.

The event is part of a new NBC strategy that highlights a 52-week scheduling announcement and one-on-one meetings between the network executives and advertisers in New York and Los Angeles.
