Chou & Wachowski Bros. Back Together
Actor Collin Chou, who starred as Seraphin in the Wachowski Brothers Matrix films returns to star as one of the lead characters in another Wachowski project tentatively titled “Ninja Assassin.”
Chou will be on of the film’s four lead characters.
“I don’t think I’m supposed to talk about it, but I am working with the Wachowski brothers next month, and I look forward to working with them again on a major movie,” Chou told the press convened at this past weekend’s Wizard World convention. “It will be in Berlin.”
The role was given to Chou after martial arts film veteran Jet Li backed away. Li has stated that he would only star in Chinese made films leaving the door open for Chou to fill the void.
“I have to say that I’m constantly grateful to Jet Li, and I thank him all the time, but that is personal.”
Chou had the opportunity to work with Li and another icon of martial arts films, Jackie Chan, in the highly anticipated film “The Forbidden Kingdom” due out in theaters on April 18.
Production is set to begin in the Wachowski film in late April or early May. Joining Chou thus far is Jung Ji-hoon (a.k.a. Rain). No other casting choices have been named to date.
The Wachowski Brothers will only be producing this latest effort. James McTeigue (”V for Vendetta”) is on their short list to direct. Also involved with the production is fellow Matrix producer Joel Silver. Silver has a full plate over the next couple of years with “Wonder Woman,” “Logan’s Run,” “Speed Racer,” the horror film titled “The Factory” and the Kate Beckinsale crime thriller “Whiteout.”

About six moths ago i got a hold of some printouts of the
“Emerald tablets of Thoth”. A amateur writer and student of the Bible and other theological and mythical works of antiquity, I was shocked by inate wisdom this book contained and spiritually mesmerized by the accounts of Thoth or “Hermes the Thriceborn”. I thought the “Matrix”
was really groundbreaking in its interpretation of the
“big picture” and its depiction of Neo as a messianic hero but reading Thoth’s “Emerald Tablets” blows me away because this guy lived 4,000 years ago, and while incarnating himself 3 times imparted enough wisdom to thrust at least 2 maybe 3 races of people into super-civilizations with more knowledge and mastery over the world than we can ever hope to know again.
IF Thoth’s story on film doesn’t make a blockbuster movie of epic proportions even surpassing the Matrix, I know that it will at least make a fine circumspect film that will cause people to think inward about the purpose and plight of man.
The Wachowskis must read this book and work on a screenplay. IT HAS TO BE DONE….. and I will help
