Slater Coming to the Small Screen

March 15, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: TV

christian-slater.jpgRumor has it that big screen star Christian Slater is moving over to the small screen after years of being wooed by networks. He will be seen, possibly by this fall, on NBC in an as yet untitled series that is being described by inside network sources as “The Bourne Identity” meets “Jekyll & Hyde.” The series is the creation of writer/producer Jason Smilovic (”Bionic Woman,” “Lucky Number Slevin”) who gave Fox the first crack at it, but that network passed.

These same sources claim the series will have Slater playing a quiet, shy, mild-mannered typical suburbanite who learns that his alter ego is am international spy.

Officials at NBC could not be reached for comment.

Did you see Slater in “He Was A Quiet Man”? I din’t like the movie’s ending, but he was spectacularly non-Slater in it throughout. It let me know he still has some acting magic in him.
