Disney’s Japanese Fireball
Walt Disney Japan’s newest project from the house that Mickey built called “Fireball,” is the first product by the famous studio made in Japan, by Japanese talent and totally for the Japanese market.
The 3-D anime will tell the story of a young girl and her two servant robots set sometime in the far-off future. The girl and her robotic companions set-out on an adventure of a lifetime.
Each anime segment for “Fireball” will be approximately two minutes in length and will premiere on one of Tokyo’s biggest channels Tokyo MX on April 7, 2008. Because anime is so popular in Japan the segments will be seen in the evenings beginning at 6:25 PM Tokyo time.
“Fireball” will run a total of 13 weekly episodes with the genius of Wataru Arakawa (”Kabe-otoko”) at the helm, directing the characters designed by Hitoshi Fukuchi (”Gravion”), Hiroki Kawasaki (”Kaleido Star”) and Shigeyuki Watanabe.
The toons will also be aired on the Disney Channel beginning April 11, 2008.
