Disney Makes Jump to Japan for Animation

twdc_logo_corporate.jpgThe Walt Disney Co will soon be making animated films in Japan geared specifically for an Asian audience and culture.

tokeilogo.pngConsidered the creative genius of animation, Disney will make new inroads into Japan’s area of expertise, the anime format.

Disney’s team of animators will join forces mainly with Toei Animation, although they will work with other Japanese studios from time to time, according to a Nikkei newspaper story.
