Australian actor Kodi Smit-McPhee (“Romulus, My Father”) has decided to opt out of the role as the young Logan for “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” according to Dark Horizons.
The reason given for leaving the role was a change in shooting dates. The young thespian will now begin shooting the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s SF post-apocalyptic novel “The Road.,” That film will star Academy Award nominees Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron. Not a bad trade-up for young Smit-McPhee.
According to Ain’t It Cool News 13-year old newcomer Troye Mellet, will now play the part of the younger version of Hugh Jackman’s Logan for the film.
