108324_xl.jpgBeginning Sunday, March 2, 2008 the Discovery Channel began airing its own “Fantastic Voyage” into the human body in the new docu-series “Human Body: Pushing the Limits,” and we all get to go along for the ride.

This original and fascinating four-part series gives us a rare look beneath our skin to show just how the human body and and all its parts undergoes it daily changes, fights its ongoing battles against invaders and how it performs tasks from the most menial to almost science fiction related feats.

The documentary uses CGI, animations and a real human body to take viewers on this amazing visual tour of what makes our bodies tick.

Concentrating mainly on the brain and how it interacts with the rest of the human body, the series focuses on the body’s strength, sensations and its ability to see and feel.

For those who have missed the first two episodes or want a copy for themselves, “Human Body: Pushing the Limits” is available on DVD from the Discovery Channel website already linked.
