“The Rock” a Tooth Fairy?

February 27, 2008 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film News

johnson_dwayne-therock.jpgDwayne Johnson, formally known as “The Rock” has really drifted far away from his roots as a muscle-bound wrestler turned movie action star hero in his next film. Johnson will star as the lead character in “The Tooth Fairy,” a 20th Century Fox comedy, according to Variety.

Michael Lembeck, the same guy behind the second and third “The Santa Clause” movies is set to direct. Shooting is to begin in August 2008.

Johnson will play an ordinary man who’s brought in to try to save the tooth fairy kingdom.

Continuing in the stream to soften his tough boy image Johnson can now be seen in Disney’s “Witch Mountain.” He will also have a major role in the upcoming summer release of “Get Smart” headlined by Steve Carell (Maxwell Smart) and Anne Hathaway (Agent 99).

I’m sorry, I thought you said he’s playing the Tooth Fairy. My eyes must be getting bad.
