HBO will now stream promotional content on its own branded channel on YouTube, according to ContentAgenda.

Shows to be promoted on the premium channel’s YouTube destination (www.youtube.com/hbo) include “Flight of the Conchords,” “The Wire,” “Def Comedy Jam,” “Real Time with Bill Maher,” “Real Sports,” “Extras,” and “Entourage” as well as stand-up comedy specials. Whole episodes of “In Treatment” will also be available on the channel, as well as promotions for HBO films and documentaries.

“We invest significantly in developing HBO programs and are always searching for new promotional platforms,” said Joseph Giraldi, director of digital distribution and partnerships for HBO, in announcing the partnership.

The YouTube channel will include content exclusive to that outlet in the near future, the partners said.
