“Jumper” Warps to First Place
“Jumper,” the Hayden Christensen film co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, jumped to number one for its opening weekend with over $27 million expected by box office close tonight.
Coming in second is the Buena Vista musical hoofer “Step Up 2 the Streets.” Third is expected to be shored up by the fantasy drama “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” with the Matthew McConaughey, Kate Hudson and Donald Sutherland action adventure “Fool’s Gold” tapping the fourth spot. Closing out the top five looks to be “Definitely, Maybe,” a comedy romance starring Ryan Reynolds and An Nguyen.
