Not fair having Gilliam and Kurosawa on the same list.
Why's Kurosawa on the list? He was born in 1910. Otherwise he was getting my vote
To: Skiznot & Ed - Because I screwed up and meant to put Kurosawa on last week's poll.
Your example for Francis Coppola was "Peggy Sue Got Married?" What about The Godfather 1 and 2, Apocalypse Now, or his screenplay for Patton? Come on, I think you're prejudicing the poll away from him. George Lucas outranks Coppola? Even I don't go that far!

I'm guessing here, but probably because those movies don't have a sci-fi/fantasy bent, whereas "Peggy Sue" does.

I wanted to vote for Ridley Scott, but my childhood demanded that I vote for Lucas. I mean, episodes four and five are some of the greatest Sci-Fi ever on film.
