  1. Skiznot says:

Not fair having Gilliam and Kurosawa on the same list.

  2. Ed says:

Why's Kurosawa on the list? He was born in 1910. Otherwise he was getting my vote

  3. Sam says:

To: Skiznot & Ed - Because I screwed up and meant to put Kurosawa on last week's poll. ;)

  4. Indiana Jim says:

Your example for Francis Coppola was "Peggy Sue Got Married?" What about The Godfather 1 and 2, Apocalypse Now, or his screenplay for Patton? Come on, I think you're prejudicing the poll away from him. George Lucas outranks Coppola? Even I don't go that far!

  5. Mark in St. Louis says:

    Jim

I'm guessing here, but probably because those movies don't have a sci-fi/fantasy bent, whereas "Peggy Sue" does.

  6. Sam says:

Jim, Jim, Jim....listen to Mark in St. Louis -- also it pays to read the post at the top of the choices. ;)

  7. I wanted to vote for Ridley Scott, but my childhood demanded that I vote for Lucas. I mean, episodes four and five are some of the greatest Sci-Fi ever on film.
