Last year we asked all our fans to contact officials in Hollywood so that Walter Koenig, the actor who has portrayed Pavel Chekov for the entire 40-plus year history of the Star Trek franchise, could get a much deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Walter is currently the only member of the original bridge crew from the classic Star Trek series and films to not have his own star on the boulevard. Besides being an actor the veteran entertainer has chalked up recognition as a producer, director and writer.
After a strong campaign Walter still does not have a star. He was turned down on the first round of nominations. We only get one more try between now and June 2008. If we are unsuccessful during this time then his chances are over. This would be a great injustice to a man who has given so much of the world over four decades of great entertainment as well as working so hard over the years lending his name, person and talent to many worthy and charitable causes, most recently his work with Burmese refugees.
It’s time for one huge major push to get Walter that star so that he can have his place on The Hollywood Walk of Fame as is befitting his long and successful career.

sent our letters off today. I was surprised to learn that he didn’t have a star already, I had thought they all did. The show was so ground breaking for it’s time. And broke a lot of taboos.
