Now that the new Knight Rider’s K.I.T.T. has been revealed to be a souped-up Ford Mustang, one of the old K.I.T.T. cars has a For Sale sign placed on its front window through eBay.
This is one of the four original K.I.T.T. cars, the talking 1984 black Pontiac Trans AM that was voiced by veteran actor William Daniels. The orginal 80’s series starred the Trans AM and actor David Hasselhoff as the lead human character, Michael Knight.
The classic car has been put on the auction block to help satisfy the debts of its owner Andrew Kissel who was murdered last year. By the time of Kissel’s death he had amassed a debt amounting to $30 million. The collector was beaten to death. Kissel was to plead guilty for a multimillion-dollar real estate fraud charge against him. His brother Robert also was murdered with poison a few years ago.
So far the opening eBay bid has come in at $20,000. That will no doubt rise significantly.
“My understanding is that there were only four of them made specifically for the television series,” stated attorney Patrick R. Gil, administrator of Kissel’s estate. “I expected some ‘Knight Rider’ lovers to jump on it.”

This reminds me of a song. “If I had a million dollars….”

I can only find replica cars for auction.. where can I find the listing for this car?

K.I.T.T. looked cool with the Cylon red light in the hood, but as there is no real “turbo boost” allowing the car to jump 100 feet in the air or go 300mph you could just buy an 83 Trans AM and modify it with a with the same flashing red light for a lot less $. No one would no the difference except the person who overpays for the original.
