swank_ag02589088.jpgAcademy Award winning actress Hilary Swank is set to star in “Fangland,” a new film being adapted from the John Marks novel, according to Variety.

The script, written by Marks and “The Messengers” scribe, Mark Wheaton tells the story of a TV news producer (Swank) who travels to Romania to set up an exclusive interview with a really bad guy who deals in arms sales to terrorists and other high bidders.

Once in Romania, Swank’s character learns that there is a lot more to this notorious gunrunner, he is also a vampire.

Swank will both star and produce the feature along with Das Films, Blumhouse Productions, and executive producer Tracy Underwood.

Marks knows a little about TV news production. He is a one-time producer for the Emmy winning CBS news show “60 Minutes.”
