Bale as John Connor?

November 26, 2007 by Sam Sloan   || Category: Film News

247999christian-bale-posters.jpgFor now, this bit of news can be filed away in the “Definite Rumor” folder of your file cabinet but, Ain’t It Cool is reporting that “Batman Begins” and “Dark Knight” star Christian Bale will be playing the role of the adult John Connor for “Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins,” the next film in the popular 23-year old franchise. The film is expected in theaters Summer 2009, and while we can easily see Bale as Connor, we’ll hold off final judgment until official word comes down the pike.

The script for this fourth film has been written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, writers of “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.”

I hope this is true, Bale is head and shoulders above all the other actors in his age range.

And I hope this isn’t true, as Christian Bale shouldn’t be wasting his talents on a franchise that is now a parody of itself.
